W/C 20/04/26

Recovering after all that walking on the weekend and getting through the work week, i was feeling quite tired for most of it, not so easy as you get older to recover as quickly

Once Friday came around, there was a bit more enthusiasm to be had

It was going to be a weekend closer to home, plus needed to get some life admin in, like cleaning the cars and the house, washing, all those kinds of things

There was still a visit to Kidderminster on Saturday morning, as there was work going on at the house over there, the garden is so beautiful, so obviously i had the camera to take advantage of anything i may spot๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‰

Lots of beautiful nature and little ones being very busy with it

Back home for a few hours and a few chores, then a bit later on a visit to Middleton Lakes RSPB to enjoy the late afternoon sunshine

First heard it by the sound it was making for something so small it was very vocal, a beautiful Marsh Frog, very well hidden

There were other little ones enjoying the April sunshine too

Had a few hours walking around the lakes, watching the beautiful birds enjoying the spring afternoon, lots of photo ops, the Heron did kind of steal the show

Although it was a close thing with this beautiful little lady

It was great to see them all having a great time in such a wonderful place, thank you to @RSPB for giving us all this wonderful reserves

That is pretty much it on the week, all crammed into one day as Sunday was an at home day for those chores

Nothing to grumble about it was great, sure there will be more travel and adventures soon

W/C 13/04/26 travel and adventures

Normal start to this week, work for the 5 days, no Bank holidays..sadly

Very much looking forward to the weekend though, as a trip back to Wales, always love those๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

As you may gauge by now if you read my posts it was up early as usual, on Saturday  morning to head over

First stop was a wonderful walk at Coed y Brenin Forest near Ganllwyd, it was about 8 miles in total, gentle uphill for most of the first half, then a bit of a steep bit to get up for one of my favourite stops for a late breakfast picnic, but being in the trees by the river in the wonderful nature made it all worth while. Weather was a bit grim but never enough to distract from the beauty

After that it was a drive through parts of Snowdonia on the way to the North Wales coast

After meeting a friend who was on a coach trip to Llandudno for a couple of hours and a nice catch up

It was over to our rental place for the weekend for a well deserved rest ,after walking just over 12 miles on the day, i certainly needed one

Sunday was a slower start, the idea was not to do too much walking, that did not last long, the weather was beautiful so it was decided on a walk around the Great Orme in Llandudno, picnic packed and we headed over, it is nice as only about 11 miles from where we had stayed

I love the west side of Llandudno and it is a great place to start the walk, seems like we are some of the few that do it this way around!!

The view walking around is truly magnificent

Some of the little guys

And a big bonus was to see these beauties enjoying the sunshine in the water off the cliffs

As you get around the Orme you have a wonderful sight walking into Llandudno

A quick visit to Conwy RSPB on the way back to the house, first visit there, the staff were lovely and friendly and we even got to see a little quite rare visitor, not too shabby for a first visit, hope to go back again

No trip complete with out the beautiful Robins

It was a stunning weekend walked over 21 miles, had a mix of weather but as usual Wales delivered it all, i really do love it there๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

W/C 06.04.26 part two

The weekend at the end of this week, starting with the Saturday, was a repeat visit to the Peak Wildlife Park in Derbyshire, love seeing the animal and it is a great place for them and the conservation that goes on there.

Again had to be up early, booked in for ten, so on with the hour and a quarter drive over, it was a pretty grim weather start on the day, maybe some rain due, it was defiantly cold and windy. Hope the animals would want to come out and see us.

Some were being quite sleepy, some were showing signs of spring time

The stars of the show were the Polar bear brother brothers again,, they are stunning and were up to some right playfull moments

Sunday involved some DIY work in Kidderminster, then it was over to Bridgnorth for a spot of lunch at the Railway station and some time to watch some of the trains that were about

A walk around Bridgenorth is very pretty Spring was in the air and the gardens looked really nice

A wonderful end to TPics travels and adventures for the week
