Bits of Scotland May 2026 week 2

Carry on, on my trip into week 2

Travelling to Oban for a ferry trip over to the the Isle of Mull for a wildlife trip around the island

The beautiful paddle steamer The Waverly, parked in Oban Harbour on its tour

Some views on a trip towards Stirling, stopping at Loch Lubnaig
A perfect time to catch the stillness and get these beautiful reflections

A walk along the Caledonian canal,

Neptune’s Staircase.

This amazing feat of engineering raises the canal by 19m (62ft) over a quarter of a mile of continuous masonry and takes around 90 minutes for a boat to travel up or down the locks

A shipwreck that is on the edge of Loch Linnhe

No trip complete with out a photo of a highland cow

The beautiful views from the place we have stayed many times, looking forward to hopefully go back later in the year
